CALM. Control. Accomplish. Love. Maintain.
Clutter hates an organised structure – CHAOS – and this is how things get out of control. We lose our reins of being organised and then the clutter takes over. Before we know it, CHAOS has fully infested our homes and our lives. We become nagging, stressed, disorganized, forgetful and unhappy.
To take those reins back, to become on top of everything, we must remember CHAOS – Clutter Hates An Organised Structure – we must get back into control. Then, we will be CALM. Control. Accomplish. Love. Maintain.
The MummyandTummy CALM programme is designed to teach you a few skills to adapt to your home, to help you regain control and eliminate the CHAOS from your home. Some parts wont work for everyone, some bits will take longer to learn and adopt than others. We need to take pitter-patter teeny-tiny steps to make a huge difference.
As your baby grows, she learns things very quickly. From tummy-time to crab-walking all over the carpet, soon she will be on her hands and knees… and then, SUDDENLY! She is crawling! She just gets faster and faster, pulls herself up, more pitter-patter teeny-tiny steps, she starts to walk – you blink – and she is RUNNING!!!
WOW!!
You are the same! As you adopt the MummyandTummy CALM programme, you too can soon be running! Your pitter-patter teeny-tiny steps will soon add up, all of a sudden you will turn around and see how far you have come – and very quickly, you will be free from CHAOS and have the CALM home you dream of!
Just like your growing baby, you will have a few oopsies too. A few days when you fall back or times when you cant move. That’s ok. As soon as you’re able, pick up from where you left, take some more pitter-patter teeny-tiny steps – and you’ll be away again!!
Are you ready to turn your home from CHAOS into CALM? Eliminate the piles of clutter that make you feel angry and stressed? Gain more control of your household? Get organised again so you don’t miss appointments? Stop nagging everyone and making your family feel miserable?
Are you ready to feel CALM and organised?
Then take a deep breath, grab a glass of water, and LETS GET GOING!
Remember, we want to hear the tippy-toes of pitter-patter teeny-tiny steps – little baby movements towards our bigger goal!! If you fall down, you are not a failure! Dust of your bum and lets get going again!!!
Getting Started
As with all new projects, you need a few tools to get going. When you start a new project, you are really excited and cant wait to leap in!
So, here is your first task – to collect the tools you are going to need.
Take a piece of paper and write ‘shopping list for CALM project’ at the top. On this page, you will need to write everything you will need to get to started. In the meantime, you could try using alternatives to see you through until you go to town next.
Compendium – a compendium is a bound diary/folder that has pockets for pens etc and a binder for storing papers. If you don’t have one, grab a ringbinder or clearfile to use for now. (Warehouse Stationary and other specialist stationary stores have compendiums. You can get them for as little as $11 full-price. Make sure it has rings for adding paperwork, and pockets for storing things).
Clearsleeves – these are really cheap – a pack of 10 is less than a dollar! You may already have some. Put these into your binder or compendium.
A pen – if you have ever been given a nice pen, in a pretty box, as a gift – GET IT! The rainy day you have been saving it for has arrived!!! Otherwise, any nice pen that you like to write with, is fabulous.
A basket, preferably with handles, although a plastic container or box would work for now. These are as cheap as $3 or $4 from The Warehouse, dollar value stores and plastic shops.
Another box or basket, a bit bigger than the first. This one can be pretty too, if you like that kind of thing!
You may have these things already or you may need to add them to your list:
*baking soda
*spray bottle
*white vinegar
*cleaning cloths
*rubber gloves (unless of course, your skin is irritated by these, you may know of an alternative to protect your hands).
You will be adding to your toolkit as you progress to CALM.
Add your list of tools needed, into your binder or compendium.
Now you are ready to start the programme!
