Fun ways to reveal your surprise!!
So you’re having a baby!! It is such an exciting time, and you probably cant wait to share your news. Some people prefer to wait until 12 weeks to tell others (the risk of miscarriage is significantly less) while others are happy to announce the new arrival as soon as it has been confirmed!
Telling your partner may be scary, nerve-wracking or exciting – depending on how you both feel about getting pregnant! Here are a few different ways to tell him “we’re pregnant!”
*wrap the positive test up like a present
*wrap up a stretch-and-grow or some booties
*give him a ‘we’re pregnant’ t-shirt
*make him a drink in a ‘worlds best dad’ mug!
*put his hand on your belly and see if he gets the hint
*make him a dinner with baby potatoes and bite-sized morsels
*make him a meal that used to be his childhood favourite and tell him you are practicing
*slip it into conversation
*put a shirt on your other babe (if this is a subsequent pregnancy) with ‘I’m going to be a big brother/sister!’
And to tell the family:
*slip the scan picture into a stack of other photos you are showing off!
*Give your parents a ‘grandpa’s brag book’ and see if they notice!
*slip it onto conversation
*let a baby catalogue ‘slip’ out of your handbag
*ask if they would be able to babysit on New Years Eve (or some other occasion coming up in 9 months or more)
*ask for their advice on childrearing
